Privacy Policy

Last updated July 20, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Ryvora ("Ryvora", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have — both if you're a business using Ryvora's portal, and if you're a visitor chatting with a Ryvora-powered widget on one of our customers' websites.

1. Information we collect

From businesses using our portal: your name, business name, email address, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), and billing information (handled directly by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number).

From website visitors chatting with a Ryvora widget: the messages you send, any contact details you volunteer during a conversation (e.g. for booking an appointment or requesting a callback), and basic session information needed to keep a conversation working across page loads on the same site.

2. How we use it

We use this information to operate the Service: generating chat responses, keeping your bot's knowledge and branding configured the way you set it up, processing subscription payments, sending account-related emails (verification, receipts, appointment reminders on behalf of the business you're chatting with), and improving the reliability of the Service.

3. Third-party processors

We share data with a small number of third-party providers strictly to operate the Service:

  • OpenAI — processes chat messages to generate responses.
  • Stripe — processes subscription and top-up payments; handles your card details directly, we never store them.
  • Resend — delivers transactional emails (verification links, receipts, appointment reminders).
  • Render — hosts our application and database infrastructure.

We don't sell your data, or a website visitor's conversation data, to anyone.

4. Data retention

We retain account and conversation data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal/accounting purposes. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see Section 6.

5. Cookies

The portal uses a single, essential session cookie to keep you logged in. It's not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. The chat widget uses your browser's own local storage (not cookies) to keep a conversation going across pages on the same site during a visit.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing hello@ryvora.ca. If you're a website visitor who chatted with a Ryvora-powered bot and want your conversation data removed, you can reach out to us or to the business whose site you visited.

7. Children's privacy

The Service isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
